Taboo Lecture at Chalmers University

visiondivision are invited by 4Ark to hold the final lecture of the semester at the faculty of architecture at Chalmers University in Gothenburg.
The topic will be about taboo in architecture.
The team will discuss their point of view in the matter and name a few points where the team possibly could stand out from the Swedish norm.
The lecture starts at 4.30 pm and will be held at "A-Salen".

Pit Stop II

The summer of 2005 we where asked to build the information pavilion for Chalmers Architecture School and HDK School of Design and Crafts at the Swedish building expo BO05. Because of the limited budget we decided to re-use an old project "Pitstop" (a bike caf'e) in a new slightly pimped version. The new added material was a military net sprayed with hologram sparkle. The new costume made the building almost invisible yet the sparkle made it look like a mirage towards the surrounding nature. The building was sadly run over by a fire-truck, may it rest in peace.

Pit Stop

Pit Stop outside Chalmers University

visiondivision won first prize in a green thinking competition.
The competition; to create a green installation on the size of a parking lot to make people reconsider their thoughts about travelling into a more ecological way.
The best way to make people give up something is to give them another better option, Therefore we focused on making cycling a more pleasant way of transport.The solution became a "cycle in café" where you can take a short pitstop. The café offered warmth, music, service for your bicycle while still sitting on it takinga quick coffee or a healthy beverage.
After winning the competition the proposal was erected on the exhibition "I stan utan bil"(In town without your car) on one of the main streets in Gothenburg. And then on placed out side chalmers university, and then transformed into Pit Stop II.
